The Harris Poll, which has been asking adult fans, ages 18 and over, about their favorite sport since 1985.
In 2014, 35 percent of fans call the NFL their favorite sport, followed by Major League Baseball (14 percent), college football (11 percent), auto racing (7 percent), the NBA (6 percent), the NHL (5 percent) and college basketball (3 percent).
Do you agree with these results?
I don’t. I would rank them (1) NFL, (2) College Basketball, (3) College Football, (4) NHL, (5) MLB, and (6) auto racing.

Let us celebrate and highlight two outstanding Southern Maryland athletes.
First up is Trey Lee (@Trey_Lee2). Lee is a senior at Thomas Stone and was a force of nature on the football field. He played quarterback and safety and led his Cougars to a very successful season. Lee is morphing from a Cougar to a Tiger as he just committed to play football at Towson University.

Shawn Lemon (@SLemonator) graduated from Westlake in 2005. While at Westlake, broke the single-season Southern Maryland Athletic Conference record with 21 sacks. He also competed in basketball and track and field and was an honor-roll student. He played football at The University of Akron and then went on to play with the Calgary Stampeders (CFL).
Lemon, a DE, just signed to play for my favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. http://www.behindthesteelcurtain.com/nfl-pittsburgh-steelers-news/2015/1/21/7863191/steelers-sign-shawn-lemon-contract-cfl
Congratulations, gentlemen.

“We look forward to the time when the Power of Love will replace the Love of Power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace.”
~ William Ewart Gladstone (1809 – 1898)
It unfortunately still hold true today, eh?
Per Wikipedia, William Ewart Gladstone (29 December 1809 – 19 May 1898), was a British Liberal politician. In a career lasting over sixty years, he served as Prime Minister four separate times (1868–74, 1880–85, February–July 1886 and 1892–94), more than any other person, and served as Chancellor of the Exchequer four times. Gladstone was also Britain’s oldest Prime Minister; he resigned for the final time when he was 84 years old.

I’d like to highlight and celebrate a couple outstanding SMAC athletes:Marty Margolis from La Plata and Rachel Elmore from McDonough.
Margolis, a senior at LPHS set the all-time SMAC wins mark in wrestling.
Elmore, also a senior, is quite the athlete. She is on the Cross Country, Indoor Track and Field, Swimming, and Lacrosse teams at McDonough. She recently signed her letter of intent to play NCAA Division II lacrosse at Lenoir-Rhyne University.

There’s a lot going on in February! Does your team, school, or organization need tees or promotional items for your event?
When it’s cold outside, there is still plenty to get you fired up, like:
Throughout the entire month of February is American Heart Month. Health organizations need promotional items to give away to help raise awareness for this cause. Black History Month is also celebrated which t-shirts are a perfect way to show pride.
Championship games are played in February including professional football bowls and even more at the local level including basketball championships. T-shirts, koozies, hoodies and many more items can be decorated using your heat press as a giveaway for these parties.
For the middle of the month, Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to show the people close to you how much you care. Parties, Valentine’s Day Dances and many more activities are scheduled around this holiday. Along with Valentine’s Day Dances, many local schools hold Winter Formal dances that can include t-shirts or other decorated items as giveaways.
Pick your favorite layout and let me know what changes (colors, text, font, clip art) you want me to change.
From just a few to a few hundred… I gotcha covered!

If you like to walk, jog or ride a bike — or if you are looking for a good reason to walk, jog or ride a bike — check out this app: http://www.charitymiles.org/
It’s as easy as this: get moving. Bikers earn 10¢ a mile and walkers and runners earn 25¢ a mile, to your favorite charity.
From their FAQs:
What is Charity Miles?
Charity Miles is a free iPhone and Android app that enables people to earn corporate sponsorships for charity while walking, running or biking. We are supported by awesome companies like Humana, Johnson & Johnson, Timex Sports and Kenneth Cole.
How does it work?
Just launch the app, choose a charity and either walk, run or bike. The selected charity then earns money for every mile covered. Walkers and runners earn up to 25¢ per mile; bikers earn up to 10¢ per mile.
Can I do anything other than walk, run or bike?
Absolutely! Skipping, skating, hoping, rolling and all other human-propelled activities are perfectly acceptable. The app does not feature a setting for every activity. You should just choose whatever setting (Walk, Run or Bike) that is most applicable to what you are doing.

Here are some customized tees I did for Mary B Neal Elementary, home of the Blue Crabs of Character.
The basic design was the same for all but then we customized it for each person’s position (Teacher, Assistant, Vice Principal, Pupil Personnel Worker, Building Service Worker, Cafe Staff, Secretary, Nurse, IEP Facilitator, Speech Therapist, School Counselors, and School Psychologist).
I used Port and Company’s Essential Tee (6.1 ounce pre-shrunk cotton) in ash with designs printed by Seay Graphics.

I just got finished with an order for Thomas Stone Cougars Swim Team. Tees, hoodies, and sweatpants.
I used Port & Company’s Essential T-shirts and Ultimate Hooded Pullover Sweatshirt, along with the NuBlend Open Bottom Pany with Pockets from Jerzees. I then decorated them with Royal Blue Easyweed vinyl from Siser and Stahl’s SuperFilm in Yellow.\
